Coming from the east

The fastest way to the Dachstein West region is via the A1 Westautobahn (Vienna-Salzburg) to the Regau junction. Continue via Gmunden, Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern to Gosau.

  • Travel time from Gmunden approx. 1 hour

Coming from the north / west

Leave the A10 Tauern motorway (from Munich-Salzburg) at the "Golling" exit and continue via Abtenau on the B166 to Russbach.

  • Travel time form Salzburg approx. 45 minutes

Coming from the south

Take the A10 Tauern motorway (from Graz, Carinthia, Italy, Slovenia) to the "Eben" exit and continue via St. Martin am Tennengebirge on the B166 to Annaberg.

  • Travel time from Eben approx. 30 minutes

Directly at the valley stations of the Hornbahn in Russbach and the Donnerkogelbahn in Annaberg you have the possibility to charge your E-Cars.

Arrival by train and bus

By train and bus you can travel comfortably, without traffic jams and stress-free to the Dachstein West ski region. Buses run the last stretch from Golling-Abtenau station to Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg.
