Snowshoetrail Zwieselalm

Trail no. 1 circular trail ‘Dachsteinblick’

Tour facts:

  • Trail length: 2.2 km

  • Walking time: 1 - 1.5 hours

  • Arrival point: Mountain station 8er-Panorama Jet Zwieselalm

From the mountain station of the 8-seater Panorama Jet Zwieselalm, the trail leads downhill along the eastern edge of the Sonnenalm past the old lift route and to the valley station of the Törleck 4-seater chairlift.

From there, the trail, marked with red poles and yellow signs, continues to the mountain station of the Gosaukammbahn (summer operation only), where there is a fascinating view of the rugged and snow-covered rocks of the Gosaukamm.

The trail now leads in a westerly direction past the Gablonzerhütte and Breininghütte along the ski trail towards the 8-seater Panorama Jet.

Shortly before crossing the piste (please be careful!) you come to a small hill where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the impressive Dachstein glacier and the summit of the Dachstein (2996 m). Continue past the Sonnenalm and back to the starting point.

Snowshoetrail Hornspitz

Trail no. 2 Hornspitz circular trail

  • Trail length: full loop via Bruno's Bergwelt 4.1km (return the same way), alternative loop via Gogosau 3.3km

  • Walking time: approx. 2h

  • Pole markings: 40 m

  • Arrival point: Hornbahn Russbach mountain station or Hornspitzbahn mountain station

The hike starts at the mountain station of the Hornbahn Russbach or Hornspitzbahn Gosau cable car and initially leads along a well-maintained path. After a short time, you reach a small station that offers a fantastic panoramic view of picturesque Russbach - a perfect moment to pause and enjoy the impressive scenery.

After a short walk, you reach the turn-off that leads to the Hornspitz viewpoint. If you decide to take this short detour, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the majestic Dachstein world - a real highlight of the tour.

The trail continues towards the Ochsenkopf lift, where you cross the lift routes. Take particular care here, especially when the lifts are in operation. A short ascent finally leads up to the top station of the drag lift. From there, the return route begins, which leads directly back to the starting point at a pleasant gradient and offers another opportunity to take in the magnificent mountain landscape.

Tickets for the ascent and descent with the Hornspitzbahn in Gosau are available directly at our ticket offices. or the Hornbahn in Russbach are available in our online shop or at our ticket offices.

Rental equipment can be borrowed individually from our local partners at the respective valley stations.

  • Each guest acts on their own responsibility and should be able to properly assess their own fitness.

  • Pay attention to weather changes - signs are wind, fog and a rise in temperature.

  • Please pay attention to information about the current avalanche situation e.g. lawinen.at

  • Pay attention to avalanche warning lights and signs.

  • Follow the instructions of the ski pistes and rescue services!

  • Never rely on existing tracks. They are no guarantee of avalanche safety and can lead you in a completely wrong direction.
